Barriers to purchase connected devices in the UK 2016
This statistic displays the various barriers to purchasing connected devices selected by respondents in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2016. For nearly half of the participants, pricing was the main barrier preventing them from acquiring smart devices. After pricing, the most common barriers were the thought or feeling that people already have what they need, the perception of technology still being at a development stage and lack of interest. Nevertheless, the impression consumers may have about still developing technology could be tackled by retailers via in-store demonstrations of the internet of things.
