This statistic shows the results of a survey on the ingredients in food that cause the most worry among consumers in Sweden in 2017. Sugar caused the most worry in Sweden. 15 percent of the respondents worried about ingredients in food products stated that they were worried about sugar. The ingredient causing the second most worry were poisonous or toxic substances, with 12 percent of the respondents being worried about these substances in their food. In 2017, more than 50 percent of the Swedish consumers were worried about the ingredients in the food products that they buy.
