This statistic represents the results of a survey conducted in 2017 across eight cities in India about the type of mobile users among two-wheeler drivers in the country, based on gender. During the survey period, a majority of drivers used smart phones with internet, about 67 percent among males and 73 percent among female two-wheeler drivers.

According to the source, within each city, four categories of drivers were surveyed: two-wheeler drivers, four-wheeler drivers, truck/bus drivers and auto-rickshaw drivers. Cities surveyed: Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Kanpur, Mumbai and Kolkata.
