Vidhan Sabha election votes share in Uttar Pradesh, India - by political party 2017
The Bhartiya Janata Party won the Vidhan Sabha election in Uttar Pradesh with the largest share of votes reaching almost 40 percent of the total votes. In India, the state legislative assembly is known as the Vidhan Sabha and comprises of members elected directly by the people of the state through procedural elections. Through these elections, the positions of the state’s Chief Minister, the Council of Ministers and a certain number of ministers of Legislative Assembly are elected.
