It is about an hour away from Seoul and is a maritime airport which was made by filling the sea. Since its opening as South Korea's main international airport in 2001, it has played an important role in the air transportation industry in Asia and around the world. Incheon Airport operates two terminals and can handle a significant number of passengers and cargo. In addition, it is home to a number of duty-free shops such as Shilla, Shinsegae, and Hyundai.
