That year, 20 Minuten (20 Minutes in German), based in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, sold roughly 298,429 copies. The daily newspaper was launched on the Swiss print media market at the end of 1999. The target audience was defined by the publishers as young, urban and living in the Zurich region. Besides Zurich, 20 Minuten also has editions published in Bern, Basel, Luzern and St. Gallen. Second in the ranking is the French version of 20 Minuten for Switzerland.
