KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is the national airline from the Netherlands, operating its global network from their home base in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The financial performance of the airline increased steadily between 2014 and 2019. In 2014, KLM registered a revenue of approximately 9.64 billion euros, whereas by 2019 this had increased to just over 11 billion euros. Revenues halved in 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic led to travel restrictions and reduced air travel worldwide. KLM's revenue recovered to 10.7 billion euros in 2022, nearly reaching pre-pandemic revenues.
