NI: share of participation in sport outside of school last 4 weeks 2018/2019, by type
The statistic displays the results of a survey on the share of children participating in sport outside of school in within the previous four weeks in Northern Ireland in 2018/2019, by type of sport. In 2018/2019, it was found that 26 percent of the respondents stated that they played football in the previous four weeks. Overall in 2019, sport participation in Northern Ireland was at its highest rate in recent years at 56 percent.
