In 2021, Chinese e-commerce company Pinduoduo's app was the world's most downloaded shopping app in the Apple App Store, recording more than 64 million downloads as of November that year. Fast-fashion retailer SHEIN ranked second, with nearly 60 million downloads of its app on iOS devices.
