This statistic shows the results of a survey among Americans in 2017 in regards to their recycling of plastic polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, with a breakdown by type of community. As of March 2017, some 62 percent of respondents living in suburban communities stated that they were recycling almost all plastic bottles used.
