Australia's financial year runs from July 1 to June 30; for example, financial year 2017 starts on July 1, 2016 and ends on June 30, 2017.
The source suggests that the comparatively higher number of reports from Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments is due to their close working relationship with the ACSC and their willingness to report incidents.
