In 2022, exhaust treatment systems was the leading platinum consuming application worldwide, consuming 103.8 metric tons of platinum. The jewelry industry was the world's second largest platinum consuming sector, accounting for approximately 54.3 metric tons of the platinum consumed worldwide in that year.
