The number of dairy goats has fluctuated in the period from 2010 o 2023. As of 2023, there were nearly 33 thousand dairy goats on Norwegian farms. Nine years earlier, the number was down at the lowest point. Besides this, the average number of dairy goats per holdings has increased. In 2023, it amounted to an average number of 126.2 goats per dairy holding in Norway.
