The market for medical professional liability insurance in the United States and Canada is growing and peaked in 2022. In that year, the value of earned medical malpractice insurance premiums amounted to 11.7 billion U.S. dollars in North America, up from 10.8 billion U.S. dollars a year earlier. Berkshire Hathaway was the largest medical professional liability insurer in the same year.
