Number of employees at Vodafone UK 2014-2024

Vodafone employed about 9,640 people in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2024, over three hundred more employees than in the previous year.

Vodafone holds a well-established position at the top of the UK’s telecommunications market. From 2014 to 2016 the company increased overall revenues, eventually generating 8.43 billion British pounds in 2016. However, from 2017 to 2024, Vodafone UK's revenue has been fluctuating, having reached about 6.8 billion British pounds by 2024. The average revenue per mobile user (ARPU) has also decreased in previous years, falling from 15.4 in Q1 2023/24 to 14.5 British pounds per customer in Q1 2024/25. The contract churn rate stood at 13.4 percent in Q1 2024/25. 

Vodafone around the world

   The number of Vodafone employees in the UK has fallen year-on-year since 2016 when they had around 13.3 thousand employees. In countries other than the UK, the number of people employed by the telecommunications giant decreased from 105,870 in 2017 to just over 96 thousand in 2024, but has since slowly increased again. Germany stood out as a top earning country, generating roughly 13 billion euros during FY 2024, over six billion euros more than the UK. Globally, the company’s operating profit reached about 36.72 billion euros in 2024.
