This statistic displays the share of the population covered by public or primary private health insurance in Sweden from 2003 to 2013. Since 2003, 100 percent of the population has been covered by public or primary private health insurance. In Sweden there is a regionally based National Health Service which provides full coverage for the population of Sweden, funded on the basis of tax contributions.
