Population covered by public or primary health insurance in Slovakia 2005-2015
This statistic displays the share of the population covered by public or primary private health insurance in Slovakia from 2005 to 2015. The proportion of the population covered by public or primary private health insurance fell to 93.8 percent in 2015. The health system is a compulsory social health insurance scheme covering all residents. The State pays the contributions of some population groups, including children, pensioners, students up to 26 years, postgraduate students up until 30 years, individuals caring for children and other social groups.
