This statistic shows the number of times adults in the U.S. with back pain went to an alternative practitioner or therapist for treatment for their back pain in the last 12 months, as of 2017, by gender. It was found that 22 percent of male respondents had up to 5 treatments for their back pain with an alternative practitioner or therapist, e.g. massage, chiropractor.
