In 2021, women accounted for 23 percent of the workforce in the video games industry in Canada and for 41 percent of women were directly working on games. In BC, female employees in the video gaming industry were least likely to be working on games directly, whereas in the Pairies 81 percent of female video game employees were directly involved in video game production.
