Cross-border money transfers from Russia Q1 2016-Q4 2021
Money transfers from individuals in Russia have been rather fluctuant over the observed period. The total volume of transfers at its highest was recorded in the last quarter of 2018 at roughly 13.3 billion U.S. dollars. The volume of transfers in 2019 fell significantly compared to the previous year. In the fourth quarter of 2021, Russian residents and nonresidents transferred 12.54 billion U.S. dollars from the country.
