Leading payment methods for online shopping in Belgium 2016-2020

As of 2020, nearly a quarter of online shoppers in Belgium said they preferred using PayPal or a similar service when paying for an online purchase. One preferred way of conducting money transfers in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands is by card. In 2019, Luxembourg accounted for approximately 340 card payments per capita compared to roughly 200 in Belgium and 300 in the Netherlands.
