Revenues generated by Sky Italia amounted to 1.3 billion euros in 2023. This marks a decline by over 820 million euros compared with the revenue generated one year earlier.
The greatest selection of channels
With its nearly 100 channels, Sky Italia has the highest number of channels, counting around 60 channels more than Mediaset and about 40 channels more than Rai. As far as audience reach is concerned, rankings look different. In October 2020, Rai and Mediaset outnumbered Sky by number of viewers in the prime-time slot.
Successful shows
One of the most popular TV programs of Sky is X-Factor, the Italian version of the talent show created in the United Kingdom. Between 2011 and 2018, the audience of the show has constantly increased and reached 1.1 million viewers in 2018. Sky Italia also broadcasts soccer matches of Serie A TIM, the Italian professional soccer league. In the season 2017/2018, the audience of Serie A TIM on Sky reached almost half million viewers.
