This statistic shows the rate of men youths' agreement that the Arab leaders should do more to improve the personal freedom and human rights of women in the Arab world/the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as of February 2016. At that time, an 18 percent share of the male respondents stated that they disagreed that the Arab leaders should do more to improve the personal freedoms and human rights of women.

* The phrasing of this survey question as it appears in the report is as follows: How strongly do you agree or disagree with the statement?: “The Arab leaders should do more to improve the personal freedom and human rights of women”.
The countries covered by this survey were Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, and Yemen.
The survey did not include Syria due to the ongoing civil war there.
Respondents were exclusively comprised of citizens of the countries outlined above, with 50% male and 50% female respondents. For this particular survey question, only the reponses of the men respondeds are included.
The margin of error for this survey is +/-1.65 per cent.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates had 300 respondents. Iraq had 250 respondents and Palestine had 150. Each remaining country had 200 respondents (for this particular survey question, only a 50 percent share of the overall survey respondents, ie the men respondents, were included due to the gendered nature of the question).
The majorty of respondents were from urban areas.
