When it comes to banking activities such as transfer funds to another account, paying bills, or update account information, U.S. respondents prefer using digital banking channels such as online banking and mobile banking apps, more than branches. While only 17 percent preferred to use branches for transferring funds to another account or person, 46 percent preferred to do this via online banking, and 30 percent via mobile banking apps.

Percentages do not add to 100 percent as respondents could choose more than one channel for a banking interaction. Respondents also had an option to choose none of the channels for individual transactions.
