In 2023, Cattle FYM (Farm Yard Manure) is the most popular organic fertilizer used in Great Britain, with 47.1 percent of farmers using it due to its high nutrient content and beneficial impact on soil structure and fertility. Cattle Slurry is the second most used organic fertilizer, accounting for 16.7 percent of farmers, providing a valuable source of macro and micro-nutrients and reducing the need for chemical fertilizers. However, 36.4 percent of farmers are not using any organic fertilizer, potentially due to a lack of knowledge about their benefits, high costs, or unavailability.
