In the year 2023, the quantity of phosphate utilized in fertilizer was 17 kilograms of phosphate per hectare of land farmed (kg/ha) for tillage crops and 4 kilograms of phosphate per hectare of land farmed (kg/ha) for grasses on British farms. Over the period of time recorded here, the overall usage of phosphate fertilizer in Great Britain decreased slightly during the last several years, although remained the same compared to 2022.
