In 2020, around 1.8 million South Koreans visited ASEAN countries. This represents a major decrease from the previous year, likely influenced by the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The total amount of tourists from ASEAN countries visiting South Korea experienced a similar decline.
