Individuals purchasing books in foreign language in the Netherlands 2024, by language
45 percent of respondents said they bought a book in English as of February 2024 in the Netherlands, which is an increase of almost ten percent to the previous year.The overall numbers for buying foreign language books stayed at 38 percent, in 2023. While books in German kept their share of consumers at 10 percent, both French and other languages were able to increase their popularity compared to previous years.
