Premium for overseas travel insurance in India FY 2014-2021, by sector

In financial year 2021, insurance companies in India issued gross premiums worth over two billion Indian rupees under overseas travel insurance. This was a significant decrease by 72 percent compared to the previous year. Furthermore, private and public sector companies reported a decrease in gross premiums. Nevertheless, private sector insurers issued the biggest share of gross premiums worth 1.7 billion Indian rupees.
