Distribution of second-hand book purchase frequency in the Netherlands 2023
As of February 2023 in the Netherlands, following a consumer survey, 54 percent of respondents said they did not buy a second-hand book. As a result, 46 percent of consumers purchased at least one book as second hand. This percentage is considerably lower compared to purchases of new paper books (71 percent).
