A market for K-beauty
According to a study on the popularity of South Korean beauty products in 2022, about 65 percent of Malaysian respondents said that K-beauty cosmetics and skincare were popular in the country. This could be attributed to the current trend of K-pop and K-drama which has reached Malaysia. The Southeast Asian country imported K-beauty products worth more than 62 million U.S. dollars in 2023.
