Nearly 1.8 million used cars were sold in the Netherlands in 2022, which represented a year-over-year dip of 11.5 percent compared to 2021 sales. This decrease is due to a slump in consumer-to-consumer and professional-to-consumer sales. Around 615,700 used cars were sold by private individuals that year–nine percent less than in 2021.
