In March 2023, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for pulses and its products across rural areas in the south Asian country of India was 170.5. This meant that the price had increased by approximately 70 percent since 2012. The CPI measures the change in consumer prices of goods and services purchased by households across India over time.
