This statistic shows the share of policies with claims of private comprehensive car insurances in the Netherlands from 2011 to 2016. In 2016, the number of claims amounted to 14 percent of all policies. This was the highest value reached since 2012. In the Netherlands, the casualty and property segment (commonly known in Europe as non-life insurance) is smaller than the life segment. In 2015, ABN Amro Schade had a revenue in gross written premium of approximately 254 million euros, making it the leading property and casualty (non-life) insurance company in the Netherlands.
