This statistic shows the percentage of those who have served/not served in the U.S. military who were physically inactive, in 2015-2015. It was found that while 25 percent of those who had not served in the U.S. military reported being physically inactive, only 20 percent who had served reported so.

Data do not distinguish between those currently serving and those who have been discharged, the nature of discharges, involvement in active combat, or the era in which one served.
Percentage of adults who self-report doing no physical activity or exercise other than their regular job in the last 30 days.
