Electric generating capacity additions in the U.S. 2024-2030, by source

As of June 2024, there were roughly 170 gigawatts of electric generation capacity additions planned in the United States. Solar PV accounted for the largest capacity in the pipeline that year, with more than 84 gigawatts planned. Around 33 gigawatts of battery storage capacity additions were also planned at the time.
