In 2023, Singapore was perceived to be the least corrupt country in Southeast Asia, reaching a corruption index score of 83 out of 100. Comparatively, Myanmar was perceived to be the most corrupt country across the ASEAN region, with a corruption index score of 20 out of 100.

Supplementary notes
To compile the corruption perception index, data is pooled from 13 different data sources from 12 institutions and a score between 0 and 100 is calculated. A score of 0 indicates high perceptions of corruption and a score of 100 indicates that no corruption is perceived in the respective country.
