The contribution of travel services to commercial services imports worldwide decreased dramatically between 2019 and 2021. In 2021, travel services accounted for approximately 11 percent of the global imports of commercial services, down from a value of almost 24 percent in 2019. Travel services as a share of commercial services imports worldwide showed signs of recovery in 2022, totaling almost 16 percent.
