The contribution of travel services to commercial services exports worldwide decreased dramatically between 2019 and 2021. In 2021, travel services accounted for approximately 10 percent of the global exports of commercial services, down from a value of almost 24 percent as of 2019. In 2022, this figure has shown signs of improvement, the share of commercial travel services as an export increased to almost 16 percent.
