Malware attacks represented the most diffused type of cyber attack in Italy from 2018 to 2021, with a total number of 850 attacks at the end of the given period. The Italian authority reported close to 200 cases of phishing and 76 thousand cases of identity theft. The total number of cases reported was higher than in the previous year.
