The most profitable distribution channel for books in Norway was the bookstore in 2023, with revenue of over 2.2 billion Norwegian kroner. Second and third came library centers and direct sales from publishers, whereas book clubs and grocery stores are gradually falling out of favor among buyers and streaming is on the up.
