The outstanding value of consumer loans to households amounted to nearly 200 billion euros in Germany and 198 billion euros in France. Italy, Spain and Poland were also among the countries with the highest overall value of consumer loans. However, when considering the volume of consumer loans per capita, Finland and Luxembourg were also quite high on the list.
