Big banks in Switzerland reported an exceptionally high loss for 2022. The annual profit for the year was the lowest since 2012, when such banks closed the year with a loss of 6.5 billion Swiss francs. In 2022, the annual loss was 1.86 billion Swiss francs, the second largest loss in the observed period.
