The total profit for all banking institutions in Switzerland fluctuated considerably between 2011 and 2022. 2022 saw another decrease in profit compared to the previous year, though a much slighter one than in 2021. In 2022, the banking industry reported a net profit of roughly 6.5 billion Swiss francs, down from 7.8 billion Swiss francs a year earlier.
