Australia's financial years run from July to June of the following year. For example, FY 2017 starts on July 1, 2016 and ends on June 30, 2017.
Key management personnel (KMPs) are persons authorized to plan, direct or control the activities of the entity directly or indirectly, according to the Australian Accounting Standards Board AASB124. KMPs are entitled to influence at the entity level, meaning that they participate in organization-wide decisions with the CEO. They are often functional heads, such as head of operations or head of finance.
