Cigarette smoking rate in South Korea 2012-2022 by age group
According to a survey conducted in 2022, around 20 percent of people in their forties were smokers. This made them the age groups with the highest share of smokers, while those aged 70 years and older were the smallest, at 7.1 percent. Overall, all age groups have shown a slow decline in smoking rates over the past decade.
