In 2023, the number of five-star hotels in Qatar was 77. The class of hotels is categorized by stars; in this case, a hotel with five stars is categorized as a luxury hotel. This year saw an addition of two new hotels and the one and two-star category, raising the total number of hotels in the country to 147.
MENA tourism trends

The average daily rate of hotels in the Doha Center, which is the capital and most populous city of Qatar, was about 83 U.S. dollars during 2021. The most popular touristic attraction in Doha is Souq Waqif which portrays the country’s traditional heritage through restored old buildings and paved walkways. The largest number of international tourists in Qatar at the beginning of 2019 were from European countries.
