This statistic shows the results of a survey in which respondents were asked what types of pets they own in selected countries in Europe in 2016. Russia has the greatest pet ownership, made up predominantly of the 57 percent of respondents that own a cat. Poland had the second largest ownership of pets with 45 percent of Poles owning a dog.
