This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in the United States in October 2017. U.S. consumers were asked how high the expected discount needed to be for them to hold off a purchase until Black Friday. During the survey, 22 percent of the respondents living in suburban communities said that the discount rate had to be higher than 50 percent.
