In 2022, roughly 105 million metric tons of non-alloy steel were produced in Europe, a decrease of around 11 percent compared to the previous year. In that year, all three sections experienced a decrease; however, the most significant decrease was observed in stainless steel, with a decline of approximately 12 percent.
